Biography:
Dr. Kaufman, Barany Prof of Ocular Pharmacology and past Chair, Dept of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, Univ of Wisconsin, is a glaucoma physician-scientist exploring the mechanisms of aqueous drainage and presbyopia. He is past President & Executive Vice President of ARVO and ISER, & has served on the US National Advisory Eye Council & numerous foundation & corporate scientific advisory boards. He has authored over 375 original scientific articles & 95 book chapters/review articles, co-edited the most recent editions of Adler’s Physiology of the Eye, and was past Editor in Chief of IOVS. He has received numerous honors and awards, including ARVO’s Friedenwald Award & ISER’s Balazs Prize.
